You don't have to clear your browser cache as part of everyday maintenance but there are good reasons to do so.
- To force the browser to load the newest copies of web pages available (which should occur automatically but occasionally doesn't).
- To resolve issues such as 404 or 502 errors that may indicate the cache is corrupted.
- To remove malware.
- To free up space on your hard drive.
Clearing your browser cache is easy to do in most browsers in use today.
To quickly pull up the "cache clearing" or "browsing data" dialogue use Ctrl+Shift+Del on Windows or Command+Shift+Delete on a Mac.
