If you are not receiving email notifications from Canvas and they are not in your junk folder, you may have missed an important step in your Canvas setup. Users who have not confirmed their email address in Canvas do not receive email notifications. If you notice that you are not receiving email notifications, please check to see if your email address is confirmed by clicking on Account [1] > Settings [2] in the upper left corner of Canvas.
- If your email address does not have an exclamation point or checkmark, your account is confirmed. You may need to check your Junk, Clutter, or Other folders in your CGU email account. Contact the Help Desk if you need assistance relocating emails from Canvas in Outlook.
- If your email address has an exclamation point or checkmark [3] icon next to it, it is not confirmed and you will not get your email notifications and all features of Canvas.
- To confirm an unconfirmed email address, click on your official CGU email address in Account > Settings [4]; then resend the confirmation email to yourself. Please give the system a few moments to send you an automated email and then follow the instruction to confirm your email address in the Canvas registration system. You must open the "Click here to confirm this registration" [5] link in the email to complete the process.
